I had the chance to meet and photograph this very talented little girl. her mom brought her in to take headshots for auditions. they walked into the studio without the girl saying a word. she has great acting skills and was eager to step on the set.
once they settled down, I needed to adjust my lighting setup and run a couple of tests. but as soon as I was ready, it was like ‘camera, action! she started making a few moves, changing her expressions as if she was on a rehearsal or movie set. I did a few headshots for kids in the past but unlike most child actors, I didn’t need to coach her for anything.
she acted like it was an audition and was comfortable enough to express herself. when I told her mom that they needed an agent, she replied that they already got one. her mom had tried to take the pictures herself but the agent requested they seek a professional photographer to do the shoot.
