these photographs give you a wide range of poses that show the look and shapes of the models.  if your headshots fail to provide hints about your look, you’re missing out. some photographers will oversell you a portfolio package with hair and makeup, wardrobe etc… but a basic model photo shows your face, your bust and your overall silhouette when standing. so the purpose of sending your snapshots is to just show that you’re model material. so sharpfocus photography keeps it to the basics. you get help showing your assets that are relevant to modeling: great look, good skin, slim body for women and athletic for men. flat stomach, straight legs and that something extra.

when you take modeling pictures, the focus should be on you, nothing else. you need to keep clothes simple and flattering. recommended are tank top, jeans or any body fitting clothes that clearly show your shape. most agencies recommend that you use no makeup and hair is unnecessary. in studio, backdrops need to be plain or uncluttered. no complex backgrounds that you see on some portraits studios. on location, avoid scenics or shooting in the park where landscape is predominant. sharpfocus helps you show that you have what it takes to be a model by taking photos following guidelines for submissions to agencies.
